It is recommended that this initial meeting takes place in the child’s home, where they feel most comfortable.
This process is an important step in reassuring anxious children or parents who can ask the supervisor questions.
Supervisors will find it useful to get to know the child, their likes and dislikes and how they anticipate contact with the other parent.
At the end of the visit the Supervisor prepares a compulsory detailed written report that is shared with both parties and the Court as evidence of time spent with the child.
