Community Connections

Addressing challenging issues together and working towards positive change.

Community is family

Community is and has always been important to ICSA. We recognise the value of Australia’s vibrant multicultural community and the richness of diversity it brings to Australia.

Our goal is education, awareness and social connections with communities so we can collectively address issues that affect all of us and bring about positive change.

We also believe that knowledge of systems and processes are pathways to communities growing stronger, more empowered and resilient, and gaining greater independence.

Our Community Connections program focuses on achieving these ends, particularly through reaching out to those who are socially isolated, limited by language or those who need to build networks for leisure, sport or employment.

Our groups are safe spaces for people to come together and discuss their issues. Sharing experiences, confronting situations and discussing options in an open, secure forum helps people feel less isolated and more confident to address their issues on a personal level.

Education & Awareness

Education & Awareness

Our focus has always been to empower the communities we serve.

We have been making positive progress in educating and uniting the community through

  • Information sharing sessions on important trending issues
  • Conducting Free First Responder training
  • Conducting Person Centred Emergency Preparedness workshops
  • Assimilating COVID-19 awareness information for communities

We continue to assist and engage with communities in building a better future for all.
